Ben Spies won three AMA Superbike Championships in a row, went overseas and won a World Superbike Championship in his first attempt, and then went on to have a successful, if not injury shortened MotoGP career, winning a race in the process. Since his retirement in 2013, Spies has remained active in racing as a riding coach or just someone who young American riders can gather advice from.
