Tonight's bedtime story for adults is Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery. This classic Canadian novel was published in 1908. It follows the adventures of Anne Shirley, a red haired orphan girl, mistakenly sent to the Cuthberts on Prince Edward Island. In this episode, Rachel Lynde, the Cuthberts' nosey neighbour, finds out that they are adopting a boy from an orphanage.
