Description
THIS IS SOMETHING NEW AND FUN. Welcome to a new companion podcast in the Orange and Brown Talk feed. It's "Gotta Watch the Tape," and the plan is for this new Browns podcast to come to you twice a week right here, where you get your favorite daily Orange and Brown Talk Podcast five times a week. That isn't changing. This is new and in addition to that.
This new pod will feature Scott Patsko and Ellis Williams of cleveland.com breaking down the Browns in depth from a statistical, analytical and film analysis standpoint. For each one-hour podcast, Scott and Ellis will each pick one topic of interest to Browns fans and spend half an hour explaining what's right or wrong, what's going to happen next with that area of the Browns, and why it matters.
Doug Lesmerises is along for the ride to shout dumb questions at Scott and Ellis, and the result should enlighten you about the Browns, while having some fun.
Here's what happens on this first episode:
Scott dives in on the Browns' problems covering tight ends, explaining which defensive players are being targeted by opposing offenses, what other solutions might exist on the Browns roster, and how much of an issue this could be for the Browns if they continue to be one of the worst teams in the league covering tight ends and other passes over the middle.
Ellis dives in on the Browns' running game, and why they should run their tailbacks more than any team in the league. He covers what the right balance should be between Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt, what the current backfield splits means for the future of the Browns running game, and whether the win Thursday was the offensive template to expect the rest of the season.
Thanks for trying out this new adventure from cleveland.com. We hope you enjoy it, and we know you'll continue to love what the primary Orange and Brown Talk pod brings you Monday through Friday. If you're counting, that's seven podcast episodes a week giving you options on what you want to hear about the Browns. And don't forget to try our Browns Insider access.
