Description

This week Tina is joined by Tom and Ben from the "Just Some Podcast for Advanced Practice Nurses" podcast. Together they tell the story of Dr. Richard Schmidt. This is a story that was featured on an episode of Forensic Files. Back in the early nineties, Schmidt developed a relationship with Janice Trahan, a nurse at the hospital where he worked. The problem was both of them were married. They both agreed to leave their respective spouses. Janice followed through with that plan, but Schmidt did not. He wanted to continue the relationship with her, but Janice decided to break things off. This set in motion a series of events that no one could have possibly predicted.  They close the show with one of the most heartwarming stories ever talked about on the show. The good doctors are dermatologists who helped a young boy after he was mauled by a German Shepherd while saving his little sister.
