Description
This week Tina is joined by Annie Fulton of the educational nursing podcast Up My Nursing Game. Together they tell the incredibly disturbing story of a cardiovascular intensive care nurse who is accused of unthinkable crimes involving his patients. On February 8, 2018, investigators were called to a meeting at a prominent heart hospital in Tyler, Texas. The hospital staff and their counsel had a list of seven patients who were involved in a series of incidents which took place between June 2017 and January 2018. Five patients suffered “significant injury” and two of them died. Williams George Davis is a registered nurse and was working on the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit on all of the dates of these events. They close the show with a story about a nurse who has worked tirelessly to advance the nursing profession including groundbreaking research in the area of nurse-to-patient ratios.
