Albert Pujols advanced out of the first round of his final Home Run Derby, falling to the eventual champion Juan Soto in the semifinals. His one-minute swing-off was arguably the best minute of the Derby. What was made clear was the amount of respect and admiration the rest of the league has for him.
We hope he gets his moment tonight in the All-Star Game as well. It remains to be seen how he, Miles Mikolas or Ryan Helsley will be used off the bench/out of the bullpen tonight. Will the Cardinals show out in LA?
Also, the Cardinals have some pretty decent odds to land the Juan Soto sweepstakes if he's traded in season (No, Really).
