On today's episode of Locked on Wild, we react to the news that the Wild have signed Jon Merrill to a 3 year extension. We rewind to the expectations put on him before the season started, and why he has more than filled in for last year's 3rd line by adding in some offense as well. We move to Rem Pitlick being put on waivers, and Seth confirms a suspicion he had back when Pitlick was first acquired. Pitlick was essentially a placeholder until Matt Boldy was ready to return from his injuries. And that's not to say Pitlick didn't do a great job when the season started, but his recent play warrants a trip down to Iowa to get back into a more regular game routine. We finish by looking at who might be the odd man out once the Wild's vast injury list starts to clear up!
