After mentioning it on multiple episodes, we finally jump into the Time Tunnel to discuss Sydney Pollack's The Yakuza. It's always tough for me to figure out what to write here but it's even more difficult this week because I don't leave a whole lot left unsaid during this discussion. In case you can't tell, this is one of my favorite films but it launches a much broader conversation on film culture in the 21st century, how this movie might be different today, what makes a great onscreen hero and why Ken Takakura fits the bill.
