Whoa, what’s this? We’re actually talking about a recent movie for once? We’re really releasing a podcast we recorded recently and not over a year ago? WHAT’S GOING ON?!?!

Well, let me tell you! VLord and I haven’t gotten a chance to record many new @ Movies podcasts this year, and we’ve taken such a long time to sift through our backlog of already recorded podcasts there hasn’t been a need. However, we’ve still been seeing as many movies as ever, and I’ve been writing reviews for some that I’ve really wanted to share my thoughts on.

Last week I saw Mamoru Hosoda's newest film Mirai and wrote a review of it, but I really wanted to discuss it on the podcast as well. Unfortunately, VLord’s too busy and most of my friends who’d be interested in discussing it with me haven’t seen it yet. So I’ve decided to try something different and record a solo @ Movies podcast on Mirai, essentially reading out my review for those of you who haven’t read it yet or would prefer listening to it. If you guys like this format I’ll try and do more solo @ Movies episodes for movies we can’t record a full-length episode on in the future! But enough talk about the future, let’s talk about Mirai!
