I know you're asking "wait, where's the Toriko retrospective?" Well, we recorded it, but unfortunately there were some technical difficulties during the editing process and we lost the whole thing. We're sorry guys. Don't worry, we'll still be discussing the series and answering your questions during our Toriko Manga Fight, which will be out next week. That episode will now double as our all-encompassing retrospective on the series. On the bright side, that means if you haven't sent us any questions or topic suggestions for us to cover on the episode yet, you have another week to do so, so take advantage of that and send away!

Until then, we've decided to dig into the vaults and unearth a special gem to give you guys something from us to listen to this week. That being a long lost episode of Colton's previous manga discussion podcast for Anime 3000, the Manga Corner, where he and special guest Maxy Barnard, host of the Shonen Jump-centric podcast Friendship! Effort! Victory!, discuss the short-lived Jump Start Hi-Fi Cluster. Notable for being the first Jump Start to be added to the regular lineup of Viz's digital Shonen Jump, Hi-Fi Cluster was pretty swiftly and unceremoniously cancelled, only lasting 18 chapters. Was Hi-Fi Cluster too beautiful to live like our dearly departed Toriko retrospective was? Was it a high flying clusterfuck of a comic that should have never existed to begin with? Even with as short as the series is, Colton and Maxy manage to find a lot to say about it, while going on tangents about other Shonen Jump series no less, so give them a listen and find out!
