Description

CrossFit Competition Director Adrian Bozman joins host Chase Ingraham to discuss who is eligible to compete in the 2022 CrossFit Occupational Games. The CrossFit Open is searching for the fittest in the following fields: active-duty military, military veterans, law-enforcement officers, firefighters, first responders, medical professionals, educators, and college students. During Open registration, participants who fall into one of those categories can select their occupation. The top 10% of athletes in each category from the Open will be invited to compete in the online Occupational Games, taking place April 21-24. The top athlete in each category will be crowned the fittest in their field. In this episode, Bozman explains how Occupational Games athletes are still eligible to compete in other divisions (ex. individual and age group) and also gives examples of which professions fall into each occupational category.
