Description
Liz Kleinrock is an Anti-Bias Educator and the founder of Teach and Transform. She believes that an inclusive, equitable public education is the first step towards a solution to narrowing the opportunity gap in our country. Liz believes that teaching our youth with a social justice focus and an anti-bias lens is not only possible, but imperative towards dismantling systemic racism and institutional discrimination. She is also a published author with Teaching Tolerance, and her work has gained national recognition through a documentary produced by Fluid Film, and media outlets such as CNN, The Washington Post, NPR, and The Huffington Post. Most recently, Liz is proud to share her 2019 TED Talk from "Education Everywhere" on building foundations of equity with young learners, and is working on her first book.

302: Let Go The Need To Be Liked With Rhett Thompson: Rhett Thompson is a comedian based in Miami, Florida. Born and bred in a lower working/upper poverty level neighborhood in Akron Ohio, she credits her Japanese mother's strength, tenacity, and love of Black culture for her fish-out-of-water survival skills and dark humor. Rhett never knew where she belong. Growing up, she always wanted to fit in but her surroundings made her feel like she was an imposter. She did everything she could to live from the expectation of others. When a friend asked her one day why she needed to be liked, that is when Rhett started looking at herself and realized she was more than enough and stop seeking approval from other.
