Pay is an experienced TV host, writer and producer with a passion for food, fitness, dogs and travel. She is a big fan of pastries and dairy products. Pay currently hosts The Pay Chen Show Saturday afternoons from 3-4pm (EST) on Newstalk 1010. The live show is a mix of lifestyle topics and comedy, with celebrity guests and a slightly twisted sense of humour. Pay is also an actress and has appeared on a variety of TV series such as: Degrassi- Next Class, Hi Opie!, and Dark Matter. Pay’s hosting credits include Breakfast Television Winnipeg (Citytv), OMNI-TV in Toronto, G4 TechTV, the Biography Channel Canada, and the popular national pre-school program 4 Square on Treehouse TV. She is frequently asked to participate in events as a host, judge or speaker. Pay contributes food, travel, health and other lifestyle content to various publications including: The Globe and Mail, National Post and Canadian Living magazine. She has also written extensively for live-action and animated television series.

Born and bred in a lower working/upper poverty level neighborhood in Akron Ohio, she credits her Japanese mother's strength, tenacity, and love of Black culture for her fish-out-of-water survival skills and dark humor. Rhett never knew where she belong. Growing up, she always wanted to fit in but her surroundings made her feel like she was an imposter. She did everything she could to live from the expectation of others. When a friend asked her one day why she needed to be liked, that is when Rhett started looking at herself and realized she was more than enough and stop seeking approval from other.
