Description

WRP 107 - 6 Nations guide #2 - Scotland, Wales & Ireland (the Celtic captains). In the second instalment of the pod this week, being 6 Nations stand alone week, Rachael Burford, the Harlequins captain & Johnnie Hammond, broadcaster, cover the Celtic nations, Scotland, Wales & Ireland. Joining them to do so are not 1, not 2 but all 3 captains of those nations, Dr Rachel Malcolm, Siwan Lillicrap & Nichola Fryday. New appointed Fryday speaks of the honour she has been given, the "fresh start" the whole squad is feeling going into this campaign & what Wales will bring to the table. Siwan Lillicrap, now a professional rugby player, speaks about what preparations have been going on in the Wales camp, the sense of togetherness that is increasing day by day & what they have to get right on the park, come Saturday. Another friend of the pod, Rachael Malcolm fresh from qualifying from the World Cup, over in Dubai, assesses just how valuable that time was as a group; she also runs her eye over the squad picking out some exciting talents to watch out for. And there is, of course, talk of The Auld enemy as her Scotland side face England to kick off this year's 6 Nations, on Saturday.
