Description

Herd Immunity. I bet you didn't hear this term very often until the past 2-3 months and now it's almost a media buzzword. These kinds of things get tossed around and lots of times, people think they know what it means, and they don't *actually* quite get it. In this episode I talk about the concept of herd immunity, what it means, talk about it in terms of goat health situations, how do we know what kind of percentage of the population needs to be immune, what is R0, and how does it help control an infectious/contagious disease. (I realized while editing this episode that I forgot the word "contagious" and many times it would have been a better word to use than infectious, so thanks for bearing with my brain forgetting words sometimes!)
