The Boston Bruins are close to hiring Jim Montgomery as their new head coach, according to multiple sources.
Montgomery most recently served as an assistant for the St. Louis Blues, reinvigorating their offensive attack.
He began his NHL coaching career with the Dallas Stars, but was let go due to unprofessional conduct. Montgomery is in recovery and the Bruins no doubt did their due diligence.
Hiring a coach was a huge priority for the Bruins, whose attention now turns to the NHL Draft, free agency, and new contracts for Patrice Bergeron and David Pastrnak.
