Description
Where do we start with Dustin Penner....The former NHL power forward and two-time Stanley Cup Champion Ducks, Kings) brought the heat on the Cam and Strick Podcast. This guy has an amazing story that led him from a small Amish town in Canada to playing junior college hockey. Who else in the history of the NHL played junior college hockey? Dustin Penner did, before eventually finding his way to the University of Maine. After red-shirting for a season, he led the Black Bears to the NCAA National Championship game. That led to an NHL contract with the Anaheim Ducks. The rest is history for Penner who remains the last player to sign an offer sheet without it being matched by their current team. His career had some ups and downs and was relatively interesting, but probably not nearly as interesting as his life away from the game. Penner talks Corona-virus conspiracy theories, to hanging out with the Prince in Saudi Arabia, to living his best life in Newport Beach, California. This could go down as one of the most underrated and entertaining episodes we've had on the Cam and Strick Podcast.
