This week Thomas Blake stopped by the "Getting to The Point" podcast powered by Arrowbar to discuss a wide array of tennis experiences. The spirited discussion covered everything from his own tennis, his brother James' tennis career, and even some off court fun with ArrowBar founders Mark and Andrew.
The most impressive revelation was that Tom, who competed in the US Open twice in doubles and reached the top 300 in ATP singles rankings, didn't even qualify for sectionals in New England his first year in 16 & unders. Thomas was a late bloomer who was born into a family of tennis fanatics, and his love of the game helped him go from unknown to All-American competing for the Harvard Crimson tennis team. This is where he had the experience of a lifetime competing on the same college team as his younger brother James.
As we often discuss on the pod, Thomas went over the huge changes in fitness and nutrition that have happened since his career ended. He even stated that "It's a shame there wasn't ArrowBar around then" for he and his brother.
