Description
What an absolute pleasure it was to be joined by Canterbury Magician and commentator Frankie Mackay for a wide-ranging chat about the women's game.
We talk the White Ferns v Australia series to discuss what makes this Australian outfit so impressive, and the boys look for positives in defeat for the NZ side.
This leads to a conversation about the wider game, both in NZ and around the world - the challenges and the way forward as women's cricket continues to gain in popularity and stature (14.00).
We then get an update on the Canterbury Magicians squad to ask if anyone can take down the Wellington Blaze in the Hallyburton Johnstone Shield and Super Smash in 2020/21 (25.10), before talking to Frankie about a few ups and downs from her own career (38.50), both on the field and in the commentary box as part of the Sky Sports team (45.00).
Keep an eye on our podcast feed in the coming weeks - we've got a packed schedule with interviews from all around the New Zealand domestic circuit, as well as our IPL coverage and This Week in Cricket shows.
