President Biden is going all-in on vaccine mandates. Much of his presidency hinges on getting the pandemic under control and the administration sees these mandates as the path toward getting back to normal. While some see these vaccine requirements as infringing on people's personal freedoms, many more seem to be in favor of the mandates and getting as many people vaccinated as possible. Ginger Gibson, deputy Washington digital editor at NBC News, joins us for how the mandates play out politically and how time is ticking to get the Democrats $3.5 trillion spending bill worked out.




Next, Facebook knows that Instagram can be a problem for teen girls. According to their own internal research, 32% of teen girls said that when they felt bad about their bodies, Instagram made them feel worse. While there are many social media platforms out there, some of these problems are worse on Instagram. TikTok is focused on video and performance, Snapchat keeps the focus on the face with filters, but Instagram centers on the body and lifestyle making the social comparisons worse. Georgia Wells, reporter at the WSJ, joins us for Facebook has consistently played down the apps negative effects, despite research showing it has been a problem.
