While the world had just learned about what happened to Gabby Petito and were on the hunt for her killer Brian Laundrie, Micheal Kroll quietly left his job at the Humane Society Thrift Store in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Micheal left with his 7 year old emotional support animal Bernie the Chihuahua in tow, when he disappeared somewhere into the high desert.
