The Context of White Supremacy hosts the 8th study session on Jack Olsen's Last Man Standing: The Tragedy and Triumph of Geronimo Pratt. Olsen is a White man, and a prolific author. Olsen wrote for Sport Illustrated during the 1960's, and penned a celebrated series examining black athletes and Racism. The magazine also credits Olsen with writing one of the best biographies on boxing icon and attempted counter-racist Muhammad Ali. Last week, Olsen gave a detailed account of the slow leak of information that began to reveal the FBI's COINTELPRO operation. Pratt, Johnnie Cochran and pretty much all other non-white people seemed clueless about the breath and scope of the counter-intelligence operation. White enforcement officials lied and concealed their illegal activities, while keeping Pratt caged in solitary confinement for years.
