Description

My guest today is the wonderful Julia Cameron - again! She is a third time guest on this podcast and that’s because I just love her wisdom so much. She is a huge inspiration of mine when it comes to creativity and wellbeing, and she has a new book out, called Seeking Wisdom: A Spiritual Path to Creative Connection, which is a comforting, brilliant guide to stepping back and finding faith in your creativity again, and yes, in some cases a higher power. In the new book, she recaps on her recovery from alcoholism and addiction, its a deeply personal account of pain, healing and growth, showing the reader how to harness prayer (in whatever form that takes for the individual) to overcome our lives challenges and obstacles, and forge ahead towards becoming the person we are meant to be. It’s inviting and welcoming: she embraces her reader to believe in something again, and you of course don’t have to use the word God if you don't want to, you can use whatever word or concept you like. I also really recommend her memoir Floor Sample which is one of my favourite ever memoirs. So, here is a brand new episode with Julia and I really hope you enjoy it!!Pre-order Floor Sample here: https://uk.bookshop.org/a/153/9781800811959Buy Seeking Wisdom here: https://uk.bookshop.org/a/153/9781788168250 See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

This is not a traditional career podcast. It’s a podcast for people who’ve looked at their interests to shape the work they do. What does it mean to be a philosopher? How is Big Tech affecting us? How do you combine activism with being the editor of a magazine? Award-winning author Emma Gannon has a gentle line of questioning that starts with work, and ends up wherever the conversations lead. Named Best Business podcast by Vuelio, Ctrl Alt Delete is a gateway into new ideas – with over 5million downloads and past guests including Alain de Botton, Dame Steve Shirley and Mrs Hinch.
