In July of 2003, 30-year-old Heather DeWild was a loving mother to two beautiful children: Jacob, five, and Hannah, three. Heather and her husband Daniel had been married for six years and had created a good life for themselves in Edgewater, Colorado. By all accounts, the DeWilds were living the American Dream.
