In May 2009, two complete strangers met on a train traveling between Charleston, South Carolina and Washington D.C.

The two strangers were both women, close in age, one was 28, the other 30.

The slightly older woman had the misfortune of having her wallet stolen, and so the other woman opened up her own and lent some money to the perfect stranger.

This random act of kindness would take both women down a very dark and sinister path.
