This podcast presents an approach to amblyopia. In it, listeners will learn to define amblyopia, how to develop a differential diagnosis for a child with reduced visual acuity, how to recognize the clinical signs and symptoms of amblyopia, how to manage patients with amblyopia, and when to refer a patient with suspected amblyopia to an ophthalmologist or optometrist. The podcast was developed by Crystal Liu, a senior medical student at the University of Calgary, Dr, Bo Bao, a resident physician at the University of Alberta, and Dr. William Stell, a professor at the University of Calgary’s Cumming School of Medicine.
