Description

Presented by Mastercard   To today’s guest, fashion is not only a passion, but also a vehicle to empower others. Michelle Cadore is the designer, CEO, and visionary behind YES I AM, a clothing brand that seeks to inspire others to tell their stories of triumph. Founded in 2016, YES I AM designs feature messages of empowerment like “Queens empower queens,” “Know your worth,” and “Faith it ‘Till You Make it.” And that’s not all Michelle does. She’s also the co-owner of Brooklyn-based fashion boutique DA SPOT NYC, which showcases 50+ independent creative brands owned by people of color, including her YES I AM line. Michelle clearly has a knack for entrepreneurship, and she’s made it her mission to use her business platforms to elevate and inspire other women. She took this mission a step further last year when she launched Cadore Advisory Group, a business consultancy firm dedicated to helping small businesses grow and reach their full potential. You may have also caught her creations on display at a past Create & Cultivate event. In this episode of WorkParty, we sit down with Michelle to learn how she brought her entrepreneurial visions to life and how she’s using fashion to empower others. Join the party on social @workparty and stay in-the-know at workparty.com.   Guest Michelle Cadore @yesiam_michellec @yesiaminc @daspotnyc   Produced by Dear Media

Part work, Part party. WorkParty is a movement for a new generation of women like yourself, women who are redefining the meaning of work on their own terms. Welcome to WorkParty the podcast. Where creative and entrepreneurial women celebrate each other’s successes. WorkParty is the vision of Jaclyn Johnson, the powerhouse founder and CEO behind Create & Cultivate, the fastest growing online platform and conference for millennial women in business. In WorkParty the book, Jaclyn spills on how she found the determination to flip her rock bottom moment into hard work and success —and how you can, too. By age 32 she had sold a company, launched a new one, bought her first home, found the love of her life and had a million ups and downs in between. WorkParty the podcast is all the lessons she learned and the advice she wishes she had gotten along the way. You’ll hear from female founders, CEOs, entrepreneurs, creatives and so many other badass boss ladies. And what do you get from listening? We’re keeping it 100, giving you that career real-talk, and no BS advice. To check out the WorkParty blog and learn more about the WorkParty book and tour visit WorkParty.com.
