Host Adam Burke had a lot to say about some pretty advanced concepts on today’s edition of The Bettor’s Box. Adam talked about BaseRuns and how to apply that alternate standings metric to your MLB handicapping and your thoughts about the teams. He isolated the Angels and Reds as underachievers and the A’s, Rays, and Diamondbacks as overachievers and explained the reasons why.

Adam also took a look at how favorites have done and why the tide might be turning with those big favorites. After a recap of some line moves from Tuesday, Wednesday, and those we’ve seen today, Adam shared a couple of picks for tonight’s card and then previewed Reds vs. Cardinals, White Sox vs. Cubs, Twins vs. Royals, and Phillies vs. Braves for this weekend.
