Description

Us again, after another weekend of football. What a game this is. Mikel Arteta may have had a preview of his very own Ghost of Christmas Future, as Man City brushed past apolitical-Arsenal on autopilot. Leicester weren’t “top enough” to keep up with Liverpool, as they were held by Norwich, and Big Dunc Ferguson kept up the good work with a point at Old Trafford, even if poor Moise Kean suffered the indignity of being a sub for a sub. As well as all this we muse on sleepy voiced sat-navs, “loopy behaviour” and wearable Pete Donaldsons. They’re not yet in production but if there’s enough demand we’ll probably look into it. We’ve also been nominated for an award! In 2007, The Football Ramble was born out of Luke Moore, Pete Donaldson, Marcus Speller and Jim Campbell’s passion for the most popular sport in the world—as well as a shared inability to take themselves too seriously. Since then, the boys have come a very long way: from a best-selling book to sold out live shows. Now, with the return of football post-lockdown, the Football Ramble brings you daily episodes of equal parts insight and hilarity. All this and more, Monday through Saturday. Lend us your ears and we’ll keep you up to date with the latest stories from the Premier League and all around Europe, all with an eye for both the sublime and the ridiculous.
