Description

Wondering what the real difference is between palliative care and hospice? Or when a PEG is worth all the trouble we know they cause? Caitlin Saxtein shares research and information on these topics and more. One study found that 78% of SLPs thought that PEGs were OK in advanced dementia (they're not), but only 11% of those same SLPs said they would want one for themself. We've got a ways to go on educating ourselves and our colleagues, but Caitlin will give you a head start.
