Can you use the right blitz call to destroy a blocking scheme? Maybe. But you better be ready for the offense’s answer. Is there a ‘right call’ for the defense to make in any given situation? Will calling that perfect blitz at the right time bring the offense to its knees? Sure, there are situations where you can dictate to the defense with the right blitz call. But that call could get you in a lot more trouble down the road if you don’t execute correctly.
