Description

By 1895, a middle-aged Charles Chilton Moore had been arrested three times due to libel, blasphemy, and the mailing of "obscene materials". But Moore simply used his subsequent imprisonments to further his cause, bringing national attention to his fight for separation between church and state. And ultimately, after more arrests and trials, becoming one of the major catalysts that helped expand the definition of free speech.

What defines guilt? Should we judge the accused based on the evidence found against them? Or by the decision made about them by a jury of their peers?
