Description

The sermon was delivered on Sunday, July 17, 2016, at All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, by Rev. Barbara Prose, Executive Director of Ministry. SERMON DESCRIPTION This has been one of the toughest weeks of my life. The tragic killing of two men at the hands of police and then the tragic killing of five police officers, all in one week, in one nation, is too much. “The sounds of bullets, the pictures of death and violence, we’re seeing it too much. Rather than love and humanity, we’re seeing death and inhumanity. This is violence and death gone wild,” says the Rev. Dr. William J. Barber. I hope to see you in church this Sunday, so together we can explore the human roots of conflict and violence, as we reclaim our own humanity, share some tips on how to deal with conflict in our daily lives, and ready ourselves for the long walk toward a more just and peaceful world.
