Description

January 27, 2019 This week we're joined by Chelsea Pine author of the children's book "Sinky Stardust Feet".  Many folx ask us about our recommendations for children's books and we can't recommend this book, "Stinky Stardust Feet" enough. From the about page: "Stinky Stardust Feet gives kids and parents an opportunity to discuss science, religion, traditions, and any questions about the universe around them. (And to do so in a lighthearted manner– the book is funny!) Judas [the protagonist] has to open his mind to figure out and understand the significance of personal hygiene. He goes on to discover why exactly his feet stink, and how he can use his method to solve future problems." Atheists Talk Radio Show is a weekly production of Minnesota Atheists. It airs in Twin Cities on AM 950 KTNF at 9:00 AM Sunday mornings or stream live at http://www.am950ktnf.com. Minnesota Atheists is Minnesota's oldest and largest atheist organization. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, educational organization that seeks to promote the positive contributions of atheism to society and to maintain separation of state and church. Our bylaws are available here. Each year we hold eight monthly members meetings with guest speakers (Jan.-May, Sept.-Nov.), three picnics (June-Aug.), and a Winter Solstice banquet (Dec.). We have a full calendar of events, such as dinners, movie nights, game nights, discussion groups, book clubs, a how to debate class and many others. To find out about these events, sign up for A.W.E. - Atheists Weekly E-mail. We produce a public access cable TV program, "Atheists Talk," and a weekly podcast of the same name. We offer speakers to the community free of charge. We specialize in presentations to high school and community college comparative religion classes.
