April 14, 2019 This week we are joined by Dr. Karen Stollznow.  Karen is the author of numerous books including her best-seller God Bless America, Language Myths, Mysteries, and Magic, Haunting American, and her latest book Would You Believe It?  When she’s not writing Karen also teaches at several universities, has worked as a consultant linguist for several major companies, and writes a blog focusing on language with a focus on myths and misconceptions.  With all of that Dr. Karen Stollznow still finds time to the cohost for the award-winning science based podcast Monster Talk, where she and her cohost Blake Smith look at the legends and facts surrounding Big Foot, sea monsters, ghosts, cryptids, and other things that go bump in the night.  LINKS: Would You Believe It: https://www.amazon.com/Would-You-Believe-Mysterious-People-ebook/dp/B01MQVE2Z5 If you enjoyed this show, we'd love to have you come back next week for another episode.  You can catch Atheists Tall live, every Sunday Morning at 9am Central on AM950 KTNF online at http://www.am950radio.com/listen-live/  Contact us during the show with questions or comments at 952-946-6205 or contact us anytime via radio@mnatheists.org or tweet us @atheiststalk Support this show by visiting https://www.patreon.com/AtheistTalk

Atheists Talk Radio Show is a weekly production of Minnesota Atheists. It airs in Twin Cities on AM 950 KTNF at 9:00 AM Sunday mornings or stream live at http://www.am950ktnf.com. Minnesota Atheists is Minnesota's oldest and largest atheist organization. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, educational organization that seeks to promote the positive contributions of atheism to society and to maintain separation of state and church. Our bylaws are available here. Each year we hold eight monthly members meetings with guest speakers (Jan.-May, Sept.-Nov.), three picnics (June-Aug.), and a Winter Solstice banquet (Dec.). We have a full calendar of events, such as dinners, movie nights, game nights, discussion groups, book clubs, a how to debate class and many others. To find out about these events, sign up for A.W.E. - Atheists Weekly E-mail. We produce a public access cable TV program, "Atheists Talk," and a weekly podcast of the same name. We offer speakers to the community free of charge. We specialize in presentations to high school and community college comparative religion classes.
