Description

Jimmy reviews the 3D Anatomy app "Essential Anatomy" from 3D4 Medical.com.

It's a 3 D anatomy app that lets you see the WHOLE body at once! You can highlight a bone, or muscle or nerve. You can remove complete layers of the body all at once or you can take things away one by one. One feature that I love is you can highlight a structure... like pick a muscle, my fav is the serratus anterior, and you can highlight IT and that will make the rest of the body a little dimmer, so you can still see it, in context. With over 4000 Structures in high detail, it'll even help you pronounce the hard to say things in the body... like how DO you pronounce glo·mer·u·lus anyway?

10 body systems TOTAL to play around with, it's a must have for the PT student and clinician. These include: Muscular, Skeletal, Connective Tissue, Venous, Arterial (including the Heart), Nervous (including the Brain), Respiratory, Digestive, Urinary and the latest addition Lymphatic. Clever functionality found within the app allows the user to strip away layers of muscle via the ‘scalpel’ tool. Graphics are 3d and seamless and lets you rotate around the structures. you can even set up a quiz (cough cough PT STUDENTS STUDYING FOR BOARDS?) pick drag and drop or multiple choice and 3d anatomy will quiz you on what you're looking at... and you can buy more than just essential anatomy, they let you bundle buy with their other great apps that are a little more specific. like heart pro, foot & ankle and shoulder pro.

It's available on all of your apple devices, computers and android tech.  The app is $9.99 but I'd suggest going for a bundle for around $20 and getting 3-4 different apps.

This app is TOTALLY worth the $9.99 price tag and is amazing for PT Student or Clinician alike.

Jimmy rated this a 6/6 giving it a perfect 6-pack score on the PT Pintcast scale.
