Today, approximately one in four Americans can trace their ancestry in part to Ireland. A Tribute to My Irish Roots-"Michael Lynch came to America first, and bought his land in Wisconsin in 1857.  He then wrote to a friend still in Ireland, and asked him to find him an Irish wife.  Margaret Scully was 16 at the time and agreed to go.  She traveled with her brothers Dan & Tom Scully in 1860.  They were married April 10, 1860 in Stillwater, MN."
