Introduction
Some people are born to run, some to preach, others to lead. Calvin Jefferson was born to draw. In a small house on the southwest side of Little Rock, Arkansas, with little more than a pencil, a stack of cartoons, and a dream, a young boy began sketching his way out of obscurity and into something greater.
This is the story of a gifted child who would learn to paint like Monet, see the world like Renoir, and rise above every limitation placed on him not just by society, but by geography, poverty, and race.
