Facial Diagnosis for Everyone: A Workbook

About this ebook
The health of the body is dependent upon our organs, which reflects in our face. All things are connected inside and out; each part of our body (organs, tissues) is connected with our emotional state as well. So, emotions are also revealed in the face. It’s like anything else, we just have look closer to see what’s there.
As a society we tend to be over-concerned with appearance. Using modern technology, doctors can remove superficial blemishes through laser treatments, creams, injections, and even surgeries. Often, people are dissatisfied with these treatments, as the problem tends to resurface in the same spot.
It’s important to remove the cause of the facial signs, naturally, through good nutrition and using natural supplements for support. Improving overall health and well-being reduces the cause of our facial signs—the internal disfunctions—and will negate the need for facial surgeries or treatments, except in the case of injuries. While diet is important, the natural supplements indicated in this book are quite effective in supporting organ function as well as mental/emotional health. They include
herbs, homeopathic medicines, and cell salts (for mineral deficiency). The cell salt explanations will add a different perspective on physical, emotional, or mental symptoms as well. Using these and other personal care tools will help balance and support organ function for better overall health.
The Chinese diagnosing perspective of the face is a tool they have used for thousands of years. Their concept of the associated organs is somewhat different than the western point of view. However, they do not rely upon facial diagnosis alone for the final assessment of a disease. There are other body diagnostic tools available from several other cultures and masters’ experiences. Some of the facial, or body signs, may or may not equate to a medical diagnosis.
The Facial Diagnosis Book facial renderings are the extremes and don’t represent a normal face. An average face may present several layers of organ weakness. This perspective of the face provides hints that must be taken with other signs and symptoms to determine the course to follow.

Facial Diagnosis for Everyone - David Card
Introduction to Facial Diagnosis
7aFacial diagnosis is the art of looking at a person’s face to discover what organ system is not functioning properly, or what disease process may be at work. Our face reflects the health of our body, and when unwanted blemishes, lines, colors, etc. are present, these may be signs of disfunction.
The health of the body is dependent upon our organs, which reflects in our face. The next page shows the Chinese diagnosing perspective of the face. It is a tool they have used for thousands of years.
Use this book to help assess a person’s health in reading signs in the face. Remember, one sign is not enough to establish a pattern. It takes several signs and sometimes a medical diagnosis. One can help themselves by natural means, but must rely upon a healthcare professional for diagnosis. Only doctors can legally diagnose or treat conditions or disease.
Important:
•This book is not designed to diagnose or treat any condition or disease; it only represents an historical perspective.
•Always consult a doctor if there is a suspected condition or disease.
•The selection of herbs, homeopathic, cell salts, diet, and nutrition can be used alongside your over-the-counter or prescription medicines.
•Consult a doctor for use in pregnancy or while nursing.

Faces and their Meanings in our Lives
All that we experience is here for our learning and growth. The following expressions are the focus of each face we will be talking about:
•Depression is the opportunity to examine our life and change our direction.
•The Spine represents your support for your emotional and physical body.
•The Thyroid signifies how you metabolize live, understanding your experiences.
•The Heart helps you stay in balance between your spiritual and physical existence.
•Lungs represent our contact to the physical world.
•Kidneys facilitate controlling our fear and releasing toxins.
•Adrenals are the key to managing stress and represent our zest for life.
•The Stomach represents our absorbing life and finding joy, including food.
•The Liver represents communicating in a healthy manner to avoid anger that may turn into depression.
•The Gallbladder embodies our courage to get beyond the bitterness of life’s experiences.
•Pancreas represents the balance between our metabolism (endocrine) and digestion (exocrine).
•The Colon symbolizes our need to release the unneeded things in life.
•Aging happens – we don’t get out of this life alive, but we can be healthy ‘til we exit.
•The Prostate represents overcoming selfishness and managing our maleness.
•Women’s Hormones are a symbol of how one finds joy in their femininity.
Depression and Anxiety
11aDepression is an important part of life that everyone experiences at one point or another. The causes are many, but as I see it, depression is nature’s way of looking at problems and trying to correct them.
Depression means that the balance of life is disturbed, and lets us know that it needs to be fixed. We need to examine our life and fix those areas. It gives us the opportunity to make positive changes.
Modern medicine calls depression a brain chemical imbalance of the neurotransmitters. The stigma is that a person is broken, mentally ill, and must be medicated for the rest of their life. Antidepressant medications have major side effects, from emotional numbness to loss of sexual interest. Anti-depressants can be useful for a short time, but create dependence and other various side effects. The reality is that they actually hinder the healing process.
Depression disappears when the cause is found and the problem addressed.
The main cause of depression in WOMEN is hormonal imbalances caused by birth control devices, dairy, meat, or other nutritional deficiencies. Premenopausal women may use Vitex or Blessed Thistle herbs. Post-menopausal women can use Eleutherococcus (Siberian Ginseng) and may add Suma. This will help the adrenal glands to produce the proper hormones to function healthily.
Other causes of depression include disturbed digestion, often caused by stress or other factors. The stomach contains more serotonin than the brain! Hence, the term gut reaction.
Use natural digestive enhancers and avoid all stomach acid reducers and neutralizers. Parasites can also be a cause with symptoms that include dark circles under the eyes, digestive disturbances, and nervous irritability. This is often seen in children as well.
Heavy metal toxicity. There are several good commercial detoxification products.
Thyroid dysfunction can be a physical cause.
