About Dr. Ming Wu, Ph.D. Ming Wu, Ph.D., is a doctor of Chinese Medicine and a 20th-generation Fengyang Taoist Chinese Medicine practitioner, the only one teaching in the United States. He is also a highly accomplished Master Qi Gong and Tai Chi practitioner with over 40 years of experience studying and teaching in China and the United States. Dr. Wu originally established the Wu Healing Center in Puning, Guangdong, China, back in 1987 and he expanded his practice by founding the Taoist Institute of TCM and Wu Healing Center in Massachusetts and Connecticut, USA, in 1989. His interest was to preserve the ancient wisdom of Fengyang TCM. He recently starred in the documentary “Who Am I,” which aims to promote Taoist Chinese Medicine and wellness practices. It is also about his life journey and background of becoming a TCM doctor. About Judy Lin: Judy Lin is the founder/CEO of Digital Marketing Doctor Agency, a boutique digital marketing agency based in Carlsbad, CA. For over 20 years she has worked with start-ups, established corporate accounts and private medical practices. Judy graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English with a writing emphasis from the University of San Francisco. She also attended USF on a collegiate tennis scholarship.

Preface: The Spirit Speaks
In each one of us, there is divinity.
We are souls of infinite power, with the wisdom to create, to heal and to manifest our reality to the fullest extent of our capabilities. We can discover the essence of who we are and who we can become through our learnings and our spiritual practice, because we are spiritual beings first and foremost. Our physical bodies can be repaired when we utilize our healing energies.
Inside all of us, there is an innate intelligence that can heal itself when given the right resources and when spared unnecessary interferences. Our bodies are designed to self-repair, but our current medical system does not promote sustainable health and instead seeks to profit from illness as its first priority.
The spirit to heal and receive healing is embedded in Eastern health practices. These practices focus on the whole body/mind/spirit interconnection and its entwined presence within our social and environmental surroundings. Generally, mainstream Western medicine and its practicing physicians do not see this perspective as necessary or desirable in the diagnosis and treatment of illness, nor in the maintenance of a healthy equilibrium between body, mind and spirit. Western medicine does not acknowledge the soul in general.
The core focus and strength of the Western medical paradigm is the isolation of a problem with a potential or likely diagnosis based upon symptoms, patient history, physical examination, tests, research-based treatment options, and so on. However, this core focus generally excludes emotional and spiritual considerations.
