NO NAME
There came on me a time when I was sure.
I saw what you gave the world
And knew what I'd searched for
Was near at hand.
Whether you balance me or mirror me,
I know that what you give I can receive.
What you are I like
And that will be our likeness.
It's a common slip to forget,
And so easy to ignore, yet now
Amidst nature's fireworks unannounced
Your desire grows within me.
Sounds of meditation mingle with rain,
As I hear, within my heart, your cry
And sobs of potency from an angry sky
Give life to this thing to be.
RUNES BEFORE DAWN
Dream self quests upon hidden ways.
Seems it always knows the path.
Doesn't worry, just knows what it likes.
Doesn't try to take what it doesn't.
Its liquid touch cleans the cup.
I stop at the brim of my tasting,
Knowing not quite what to ask
And for a moment time’s river slows,
Joining swollen turmoil, rushing,
Giddy with something wished for.
You can't have what you didn't want.
It takes time. Choice was in the past.
Now is for thinking,
Seeing charged by thoughts,
Love filtered through the mask.
Flitting through night's light speed dance
No question the lean mind is unsurpassed.
No sameness threatens to lay down the law,
No fear to shake the pond,
Nor any cloud to blind.
Am I eternally young and really utterly free?
Knocked from my senses, only, by some game in paradise.
A patient old creature, an adventuring sprite,
A heavenly hound bewitched on the moon's night?
Now I'd be told, to silence alone
