I first started writing seriously when my tutor on a creative writing course pointed me towards the Romantic Novelists' Association and their New Writers' Scheme. Thanks to them, my debut novel "The Hand He Dealt" was accepted by Totally Bound in 2011 and was nominated for the Joan Hessayon Award for 2012. I haven't stopped writing since. Last year my short "Spiritwalker" was released as part of the "Some Like It Haunted" collection by Totally Bound. This year I'm working on two new shorts plus the upcoming release of my back collection as audiobooks. When I'm not writing, I love to read historical fiction and non-fiction as well as anything paranormal. I love to sing, watch horror movies and go to rock concerts. I also have two cats who like to hide all day and then destroy the house at night.

Prologue
Looking back, she knew she should have left.
After all, leaving was what they did. Her sisters had all left—why hadn’t she?
Fear?
A desire to finish her studies first?
Maybe.
But as Starla Brower had arrived home that night, the passenger seat uncomfortably empty, it had been the one thing on her mind.
I should have gone too.
* * * *
She hadn’t even got his name.
The band had been amazing. Starla’s sister Electra had got the tickets on a cheap, last-minute deal. She’d crept into Starla’s room and whispered in her ear, her blonde highlights glowing under the light, grey eyes alight with glee.
"Come on. I’ve got tickets to see Torque Converter. I’ve heard they’re great."
Starla had needed no persuading. God knew she needed no excuse to get out of their parents’ house. At twenty-one, she could have moved out already if she hadn’t been almost finished with her degree course. Just six months to go and she could get out of there.
But until then she’d had to put up with the screaming arguments every night, her father throwing things at the wall, at her mother, at Electra or at her.
No wonder her older sisters, Daisy and Juno, had already left.
She should have known what would happen when they went backstage after the show. She still couldn’t remember how Electra had talked her way past the roadie, but somehow there they had been, Electra having disappeared with one of the band members and Starla locked in an embrace with…him.
Though she hadn’t got his name, she could remember him perfectly. Tall. Slim. His hair a loose mop of brown curls, his eyes a warm brown. And his energy. On stage he had been frenetic, bounding from space to space, thrusting his hips at the microphone stand, holding the audience in the palm of his hand.
They hadn’t had sex, but his kisses had been…unforgettable. The glide of his tongue against hers. The press of his firm body, the nudge of his cock through his jeans.
She might even have gone further if the manager hadn’t come in and ordered everybody out.
Could she have stayed? As she’d been leaving, she’d turned to see Electra flapping a hand towards her. At the time, she had thought it meant go, but looking back, it could have meant wait.
It hadn’t been until she pulled into the drive that the text from Electra had lit up her phone.
I’m going with the band. Stay in touch. I’ll come back for you.
Leaving was what they all did.
And looking back, Starla knew.
I should have left with them.
I should have got out of here.
Chapter One
Six months later
As she crossed the car park of the motorway service station, Starla’s attention was drawn by the enormous double-decker coach parked in one of the longer spaces
