When Fear Speaks, Listen: The 7 Messengers of Fear
()
About this ebook
Fear is a natural survival skill that cannot be eliminated from our psyche. It’s a part of our inner fabric. So then, how do we grow and achieve the greatness life has to offer if our inherent fears keep telling us to stop and be cautious? We live in a world of mass media coverage and social networks that view the world with divisive intentions and opposing beliefs all in an effort to stir fear and build support. Instead of surrendering to and obeying our fears, perhaps it’s time to listen, learn from our fears, and grow.

About the Author
Introduction
Occasionally, someone will ask me upon what source of information I base my ideas, themes, logic, and opinions as a writer. Some will ask if I am a therapist or a psychologist, and my reply is, No, I am neither. I am an ontologist and New Thought theologist and have been for over forty years.
In metaphysics, an ontologist is one who delves into the nature of being, existence, and reality to find relevance, purpose, and meaning with the life he or she is shaping today. Philosophical questions such as, Why are we here? Where did we come from?
and What is ours to do, and what keeps us from doing it?
are wonderful fodder for meaningful conversation.
A New Thought theologist, on the other hand, studies the nature of God (or whatever name we wish to assign to that Something
that is larger than ourselves). We seek to understand and experience our oneness with the omnipresence, omniscience, and omnipotence of a spiritual Universe. Finding the relevance and inclusion of spirituality (rather than religiosity) in our lives is a daily practice that keeps us moving forward on a journey to a place we never left, i.e., our oneness with Life. Questions such as, What role does my awareness of God’s presence play in my life today?
and How does it affect my being who I came here to be?
are rich with potential for in-depth, life-changing conversations.
Balancing Doing with Being
What I have discovered is that by commingling ontology and New Thought theology, I get the best of both worlds. It’s how we balance and merge our being nature with our doing nature that matters. My theme song could be Do, Be, Do, Be, Do.
One without the other creates imbalance. This is what makes us whole human beings, finding the balance between our inner world of being and our outer world of doing. The result is a sense of wholeness that supersedes all conditions.
As you read When Fear Speaks…Listen, you’ll discover the line between the two worlds is extremely thin, which is why, when, where, and how Fear sneaks through the back door of our minds and raises its gnarly head.
Seeking purpose and meaning in life and developing an awareness of our oneness with our Higher Power seem to go hand-in-hand when creating a life worth living. It also seems that Fear is only too happy to accompany us on the journey, trying as it may to impede our forward progress. That’s just the way Fear operates. Its mission is to create as many diversions along the way as it can. Anytime we step
