The Method of Magic

You are on a path.

You are trying to go from one place to another. You are walking down unknown, forking paths, and you are not always sure To Where it will take you.

Then... You turn to this Element that, in the History of Mankind, has been the main tool that has made it possible for us to embark in each and every journey we have ever made: a Map.

Whether you have traced the Map yourself, since nobody has ever walked this path, or if already traced by someone who has taken this path; whether the Map is traced mentally or drawn on a piece of paper... without a Map, any journey is destined, even from the start, to be a waste.

Every journey needs a different map to guide us and give us keys, necessary references, and the guidance needed to conduct ourselves to each path that we want to walk down in order to reach our objective.

So, at the end of countless journeys that make up our lives, we have a collection of maps that have only been useful once. And they will only be useful again if we want another opportunity to travel once again... through a journey already made, and if the path has not changed much.

Despite such collection of maps and experiences, to each new journey, we will definitely need a new map for new routes.

But one Day...

It is revealed to us that all of these old maps of countless routes that have been covered to arrive at each goal in our lives... are part of the one and only Main Path. It is revealed to us that all routes in the world are only small pieces of a puzzle, which we couldn’t recognize. And this Main Path does not only include the paths in the world... but in the entire Universe.

Obviously then, to Access a Map of this Main Path... would be to Access a Map of all Paths of the Universe.

In other words: The Map of the Universe.

The Map of the Universe contains The Secret Logic to locate the Path to every Place and every Goal we wish to Reach.

This Day...

...Is Today.

The Map comprising all the Paths in the Universe, the ones already traversed, the ones not yet taken, the ones that will be taken in the future and the ones we could never imagine that could be taken... is now in Your hands: The Wizard’s Method.

These are the Eleven Steps of the Method of Magic.

A Map that has been written since the Beginning of Time itself.

But such a Power was required to be taken with the most serious precaution... it was hidden in the most perfect and secluded place, where no one could even imagine it could be:

...The Map was hidden within those seeking each map to every journey they intend to make.

Between us and Our Goals, whatever these Goals may be, those we abandon resignedly, those that we have always wanted to reach or even the most utopian ones that we do not even dare think about as reachable... between us and all of This, there is a Path. To Access the Map which contains The Main Path that leads to all routes is to Access The Purest Magic that gives us access to all we want to achieve in the Universe.

...To Access This is to Access the Universe.

...And infinitely more important:

This Map is concealed within those who find themselves before the Map...

...Therefore, to Access This is to Access Yourself. Welcome to the Journey.

The One and Only Journey.

The One which has always and will always hold Every Single Journey:

The journey to Oneself...

...Through the Main Path: The Path of Magic.

INTRODUCTION

Is it possible for Man...

...To transcend the State of Man?

Since the beginning of history, humanity transmits a Legacy, Teaching that it is possible to use Subtle Forces which help Man in his Life. This Legacy, unequivocally, also pointed out that a profound Transformation occurs in Him Who takes the Path that leads to the attainment of such Forces.

The ones Who take these Steps are usually called mythological Names, such as Hero, Wizard, Shaman, Sorcerer... and even God. These Subtle Forces are only perceived through their effects, as something that all of a sudden, unexplainably and decisively helps us in achieving that which we seek... or that fatally distances us from our objective.

In the absence of logic that allows us to comprehend their functioning, they have been commonly called Luck. And that Path which allows Whomever chooses to work with these Forces... has gone through millenniums under the name of Magic.

What happens along the Path? What do those mysterious Forces one invokes consist of? Why do these Subtle Forces sometimes present themselves as the most powerful Ally, and sometimes as a vicious enemy? And... why in some key moments, when we most expect them, they seem to capriciously be absent? Is it possible to work with every Invisible and Subtle Phenomenon with the same certainty that the modern man has learned, through history, to work with Visible and Clear Phenomena?

The Journey along this Path includes Eleven Steps, Stages or Stops... they will lead us throughout all of our history: both Personal history, and also the history of Humankind. Whoever takes this Journey will learn to discover, Step by Step, within Himself, the most powerful Forces discovered by Humankind.

Ontogeny follows Phylogeny. Every human being’s history, Ontogeny, includes in itself the history of the entire species, Phylogeny.

Just as the primitive man walked on all fours at the beginning of time, each man should also crawl at the beginning of his own history. During the first stages of their lives, we see that babies react to grasp reflex, quickly, firmly and tightly grasping whatever brushes against their palms. This reflex mirrors the primates who survive thanks to them tightly, firmly and quickly grabbing hold of tree branches, the ones that were used for their natural habitat.

One day, the primate stood on two feet, the same way babies one day stand on their feet. By leaving the ground, the primitive man stopped using his sense of smell as his preferred sense to go through the kilometers surrounding him. He transformed his entire reality when his eyes, which could only see the thirty centimeters separating him from the ground, became the tool that he could now use to traverse the surrounding world.

As a result, there is no human state where the smell is as privileged as that of babies in their first years of life, during which the sight is underdeveloped. And when babies move away from the ground, their sense of smell begins to become dramatically impoverished. While it gives way for the vision to develop, which now will be what allows them to go through the kilometers surrounding them.

During entire phases of history, what we would one day call man only produced primitive guttural sounds, which formed a system of signals understandable only by the nearest group. And only once he achieved articulated language do we recognize that primate as Man, who can communicate with any other man anywhere in the world.

The baby will go through his early stages of life emitting guttural sounds like a code shared exclusively by his mother and him. But he will become a Man when he starts to articulate language that enables him to make contact to the rest of humanity.

And to say that to reach the state of Man, it is necessary to reach the Word, surprisingly it is synonymous to say that the same Agent, due to which you enter the evolutionary state of Man... is the one that you must learn to Use to become a Wizard.

The Magic Word (and all of its secrets) has always been the Agent through which you must learn to manage if you want to access the Universe of Subtle Forces that runs the Visible world.

The Word made possible the world of Man.

And it is the Word that makes possible the world of Magic.

The state of Man Begins with the Word.

Is it possible to have reached a time when Man, just as he had Evolved and Transcended other species, should now again Evolve... and Transcend the state of Man?

And if the Word was the agent that had the Power to make us evolve to the state of Man, it is logical to think that the Word has the Power to make us Evolve into other States, superior to Man.

For the moment... That is what the name given in numerous Myths to him who Initiates the Wizard’s Path points out. That name is Hero... More than Man, but less than God.

And suggestively, in the history of Mankind, from the moment man started talking (by Chance, and for reasons we should unveil in our Journey), he has an Ally from which he never separated, regardless of how far he advanced and how much he knew. That Ally is Magic.

The same way that in the history of Mankind the Access to the Word coincides with the Access to Magic, Man’s history shows that, once a child begins to speak, the surprising reality that a sound coming out of his mouth can give him what he wants introduces him in the mechanisms of what Evolutionary Psychology named Magical Thinking.

Of course this same conjunction leaves us to deception by associating Magic as something childish. But is Magic just Fantasy? Is talking about Magic referring to primitive mechanisms of thought and unreal worlds?

If that were so... the most advanced Cultures in the domain of Magic... why are they also the ones that have unequivocally advanced the most throughout Human History, making other cultures seem primitive compared to them?

Egypt, Greece, the Incas, the Mayas, China—to name just a few examples—turned to processes that, being incomprehensible by subsequent cultures, were named as Magic. But if these very same future societies had to resort to Magic as an explanation... it is because of the reverential astonishment that they felt in light of the achievements that the Initiation Cultures achieved through Magic in all areas: constructions, life, research, medicine, education, spiritual development.

And if Ontogeny follows Phylogeny... wouldn’t the same thing happen to every single one of us?

By taking our Eleven Steps, we will go through both our Personal history and the history of Humankind... After that, will we see the one that decided to take this Journey as something similar to a primate compared to the one that has Evolved through each Stage of his Journey towards Magic?

It is precisely along these lines that Whoever takes the Journey will begin to ask questions: soon we will learn that the most important Questions are not about the Path, or even about the Journey. The most difficult questions for the Traveler to answer, the questions which will bring the biggest, monumental, surprising and vibrant changes, and that will trigger the most powerful Magic... This is what the Traveler learns to Ask Himself about Himself.

The Path has been and continues to be there, literally forever. The only thing missing is to decide to take the Journey. That same Journey, according to all Cultures and societies in the history of Mankind, has taught us that it is the most Extraordinary Journey that Man can take...

The Journey which, according to each and every one of those Teachings, is the Real Reason why Man was born...

Every man, at least once in his Life, finds himself in front of the Door of Magic and has the opportunity to decide whether he Goes In or not.

The Journey is Initiated here. It is time to make a Decision. This Decision can and will change our entire lives.

This Decision can only be made individually...

...Because only each person who Starts this Journey can answer the most challenging question Man can ask himself.

Is it possible for Man...

...To transcend the State of Man?

THE MAGIC OF BEING ABLE TO CHOOSE A METHOD

Before we move into the Steps and the Logic of the Wizard’s Method in particular, it is necessary to take into account the surprising privilege, the incomparable advantage and the true Magic that is the fact that we are in front of one of the most decisive (as we will soon see) possibilities in our Lives: The Possibility of choosing a Method.

Even though we are not aware of it, we are all, without exception, subject to a Method. And according to which Method, Paradigm, Model, Myth or Worldview that is... it will dictate what kind of life we will lead.

What we think possible, what has been thought and accepted as impossible, the steps we take to do what we think possible, the ways we would never choose and the attempts that never even come to our minds, what we think is valuable and therefore want to achieve, what we think is despicable... this is all determined and pre-established by the Method that we are subject to.

To become aware of the fact that everything we are doing or not doing is determined by a Method is extremely difficult... But to choose and change this Method is far more difficult.

...And the notion that we can live using the most suitable Method depending on the outcome we want to achieve, challenges well established thought.

The reality of living trapped in a Method is not something that is of importance only to Magic or Initiations. Sooner or later, all fields of study should notice that...

The hard fact is that we do not have the choice of whether we will use models or not. Our choice, rather, lies in deciding whether to use them consciously or unconsciously.

A paradigmatic model is imposed and decides the objectives and the scope of humankind at a given time... But it also decides what should not be accepted by humankind and what should be achieved. Precisely because of this reason, the possibility of Living with Magic has been out of reach for the common man. Simply (and dramatically, to the ones who know what this means), the current Model has decreed that Magic is not possible.

Of course, if the Method we are subject to decides what is possible and what is not, then changing the Method is to make the impossible possible... And This is what is called Magic.

Just as we do not have the slightest clue from what Method our bodies decide to dictate our blood pressure at this very moment, we also do not have the slightest notion from what Method our Psyche decides where we need to go or what way to take for us to achieve our Goals.

Let’s take a basic and common situation as a hypothetical scenario: someone wants to solve the problem of not having money, and decides to get a job.

Of course, we will immediately pay all of our attention to the Method he uses in order to achieve this. But long before this... The actual fact of searching for a job is already determined by this same Method.

In a completely automatic way, something inside that person has decided that working is what is needed to survive. Not hunting, fishing, planting and harvesting, winning the lottery or stealing to make a living.

The set target emerges so spontaneously... that it is very natural for us to believe and accept that it is the only possible one.

The goal, and all Goals we pursue in life, comes from the Method in which we live... Indeed, the word Method includes the Greek root Meta, which means Goal.

A decent job to make a living; If I do not work, I will not have anything to eat ... They seem like such natural and unquestionable Goals... that we do not even notice that they are a product of a religious Worldview which has said that by the sweat of your brow you will eat.

If we lived according to different Worldviews, we would not even think about the concept of Work when searching for bread. The societies that were not subject to the Judeo-Christian Bible took another path to survive. It had nothing to do with our automatic Goal of Work ... and yet those societies survived and were a lot better than us in the opinion of a lot of people.

An original Indigenous person simply did not know the concept of Work. It never occurred to him that the Method to survive consisted of offering his daily services in exchange for a monthly payment.

As Hegel would say, exploitation of man by man was not in his Paradigm.

And just as the Goal To Where we are moving (Work in our example) is not decided by ourselves but by the Method... the Path through which we try to achieve it is also decided by the Method.

The Method, as well as including the Goal, also includes what the Greek called the path to the Goal: Hodos. This is to say... We are trapped: the Method tell us the Goal to achieve and the Hodos, the Way to achieve it.

The religious-scientific society in which we live determined the Goals and determines the Means to achieve these Goals.

Everything we pursue in our lives, everything we have learned to resign, as well as the ways we use to achieve our Goals, are determined by the Method that we are subject to.

And just as we inadvertently address Goals already determined by the dominant Paradigm, we always resort to the same tools... not because they guarantee that we will achieve what we want, but simply because they are enforced, attested and allowed by that same Paradigm.

Thus, as if it were means with proven efficacy for what we want, we agree to attaining knowledge, sacrifice, dedication and effort... believing that, when we have enough of all of that, we will obtain what we also believe that we have decided to achieve.

And the same way we cannot even think about Goals other than the couple of ones that we suppose we should achieve in life, we cannot doubt the efficacy of these tools and think that other resources can be more efficient.

Dreaming, rejoicing, creating, imagining, paying attention to chance, Chancing... These are the tools that have been lost with successive changes in Models in the history of Humankind. But when they were used, they produced Cultures that achieved what the contemporary man had to quickly think as myths brought by magical thinking.

However, proof shows splendid buildings, imposing monuments and wonderful cities that simply we could not have today. Even Knowledge and Ways of social and cultural Life that we have had to resign as utopias.

We have just taken a big step, the first step from which we will manage a true possibility of freedom: the step to unveil what leaves us entrapped.

This step starts a true revolution which will inevitably change the lives of the ones who follow it because it will change what we understand as possible or not in this life... It will even change the very concept of Life.

The most immediate benefit conferred by the use of cross- cultural models is that of inducing a form of culture shock" in the user... Models should have the effect of expanding rather than inhibiting one’s sense of the possible.

Becoming aware of the fact that all of our limitations are determined Methodically makes us see how fragile those limitations are... But at the same time, how strong the Methods are.

And in fact, it is when we want to change the Method, that we start to realize how attached we are to a Method. But as we discover, all of our steps were limited... now, when we theoretically have the absolute freedom to choose according to our own criteria, we do not know what steps to take.

In other words, a Method is needed to change the Method. Or as Magic says: the similar cures the similar.

WHY IS A METHOD BETTER THAN OTHERS?

To consciously decide to change the Method is something so Transcendent and will bring so many Changes in our Lives, that it in no way can be done blindly.

When someone becomes Aware that they have sadly defined as impossible what they wanted to do, or that their lives are totally dedicated to achieve and maintain what is possible, or that, even though they want to make possible what seems to be impossible, they are not able to do it because they do not know what steps to take in order to achieve This, and they notice that any of these prisons are built around a method that limits them... they have become aware of the nodular point from which the fault that transformed all of their lives into something like the Sisyphus rock is produced. A tremendous weight which Zeus said that should be carried to the top of a mountain... But once Sisyphus, with great effort, reaches the top, the rock
