    We decided to write this book to give advice and financial tips to make it a little easier to start your own trucking company with a firm foundation and longevity for prosperity within your transportation business.

    When we started, very few people gave us keys points or information on how to start our own trucking company. However, through trial, error and thanks to God, we are still rolling.

    Now, we want to help you get rolling as well.

    Starting Your Very Own Trucking Company

    First thing first. When starting a trucking company, you have to decide on a name for your business.

    Go to the Secretary of State website for your state and check to see if the name you want to use for your trucking company is available. (If you are from Illinois, go to https://www.ilsos.gov and if you need assistance in Illinois, call 1-800-252-8980.)

    If you are in another state, Google your state’s website.

    Now, we can move on to the next steps on your journey to success. Once on your Secretary of State
