    This great instrument was invented in 1821 by the German Christian Friedrich Ludwig Buschmann and he was looking for a device that would allow him to adjust some pianos much more easily.

    Matthias Hohner, who lives in Trossingen, starts a business and this begins to manufacture harmonicas in an industrial way in the years of 1855.

    In the first year he sold more than 600. But already in the year 1887 more than a million harmonicas were being sold all over the world under the name of Matth Hohner Ag.

    Trossinger Became The World's Harmonic Production Center. In the USA he became very popular in the cotton fields and also in battle fields during the Civil War because of his ease of use
