About this ebook

This is a standalone insta-lust age-gap romance novella with a lot of steam.

He claims me and there is no escape.

Landing an exclusive interview with a reclusive billionaire seemed like an amazing opportunity for a junior journalist... but now all I can think about is why I want this man so bad even though I am not into older men.
***
I feel so good when he claims me again and again. I feel so good when we cuddle after our extensive 'interview'. But I know this won't last, can't last... he is the hottest rich guy on the planet and I am just a nobody, there is no way a man like him could really want someone like me?
***
I try to escape and he buys my newspaper just to get to me... I try to leave the city and he buys the whole apartment building just to make a point... could it be that I finally met a man who can make me submit?

For adult eyes only. All characters are over eighteen.

    Chapter One

I'm sitting cross-legged on the crisp white sheets of my hotel bed, surrounded by stacks of printouts and notes. My fingertips dance over the keyboard as I type in one last search query: Damon Blackwood + private life. Zero results. Typical. The man's a ghost outside his corporate façade. My heart races with a blend of excitement and trepidation—today, I'm going to meet him, to peel back the layers of the enigma.

This is my chance to shine, to show what this junior journalist can do. I've always had a knack for seeing beyond the surface, for finding the stories that hide in the shadows. But Damon... he's a fortress with walls too high, no windows to peer through. That only makes me more eager to find a crack.

The alarm clock beeps, tearing me away from my laptop. Time to go. Standing, I take one last look in the full-length mirror. My reflection stares back—a slender figure wrapped in a tailored black blazer and skirt, professional yet feminine. Checking my appearance one last time, I smooth down my suit, the fabric hugging my curves just right.

I grab my recorder and notebook, tucking them into my bag before heading out the door.

Tokyo Skytree's observatory is like stepping onto another planet. The city sprawls beneath me, an endless sea of lights and motion. It's breathtaking. I catch my breath as I approach the glass, Tokyo stretching out in all its vibrant chaos. The energy of the place buzzes against my skin, making every nerve alive with anticipation.

Ms. Adamson? A deep voice pulls my gaze away from the view. And there he is. Damon Blackwood. The man of the hour.

He stands there, commanding the space around him. Tall, athletic, muscles outlining his tailored suit in a way that speaks of power restrained. Short dark hair, a few strands rebelliously falling over his forehead, framing green eyes that seem to see right through me. His face is rugged, handsome—an older man's allure mixing with an air of mystery that sets my heart pounding in a way it never has before. He is in his late forties and older men never seemed attractive to me… until now.

Mr. Blackwood, I manage, extending my hand, trying to keep my voice steady. Our fingers touch, and a current zips through me, unexpected, unwelcome in its intensity.

Call me Damon, please, he says, his hand enveloping mine. His grip is firm, warm, sending a rush of heat straight to my core. This isn't just attraction; it's a magnetic pull, and I'm wholly unprepared for it.

As we begin to talk about his empire, how he brought his American business acumen to the Japanese market, I can't help but notice the way his gaze lingers on me. There's a weight to his stare, heavy with something I can't quite name. I swallow hard, trying to focus on his words, not the allure of his lips or the strength in his jaw.

Your success here is impressive, I say, though it comes out softer than I intend. It's hard to maintain professionalism when every fiber of my being hums with awareness of him.

Thank you, Emma, he replies, his voice rolling over my name like a caress. But let's not talk about me all day. Tell me about yourself.

I blink, taken aback by the sudden shift. No one's ever turned the tables on me like this. He's not just a subject to interview—he's a man, flesh and blood, who's looking at me with an interest that goes beyond mere curiosity.

And I, Emma Adamson, am completely out of my depth.

I shuffle my notes, the paper rustling loudly in the silence between us. Damon's office at the top of Tokyo Skytree feels like an eyrie, high above the bustling city, and his presence is just as commanding. "I am sure our readers are more interested in you. Damon,
