Summary
This marks the typical conclusion of this book. The deception has been uncovered, revealing the truth about the Priory of Sion. We have delved into the nature of this organization and explored its motives. However, this isn’t the ultimate end of the tale. Despite overwhelming evidence proving otherwise, there are still individuals steadfast in their belief that the Priory of Sion is a legitimate entity safeguarding a hidden secret. Considering all the evidence and confessions presented, it seems implausible that anyone could earnestly invest in this notion.
Some have pointed fingers at The Da Vinci Code as the source of these misconceptions. Unlike the original work, The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail,
Dan Brown’s book was categorized as fiction, leaving room for doubt despite his claim of truth. The book’s antagonist choice, Opus Dei, lacked historical ties with the Priory of Sion, making it a questionable selection based on poetic license. Serious claims about the Priory’s existence, however, are presented in non-fiction publications, lacking the required research standards. For instance, The Sion Revelation
by Lynn Picknett and Clive Prince accepts Pierre Plantard’s intentional creation of a hoax to distract the public from a covert political movement aimed at uniting Europe.
In these modern interpretations, the Priory of Sion has lost its original religious essence, transforming into just another vague organization in conspiracy theories. Presently, it shares the realm of conspiracy theories with groups like the Illuminati and the Assassins, accused of global machinations despite their obscure history. While many might have wished for the Priory of Sion’s story to be authentic, today we understand it was nothing more than an intricate falsehood. The ideas presented by Plantard, Baigent, Lincoln, and Leigh are now relegated to forgotten histories, surpassing what anyone might have anticipated from such an elaborate fabrication.

A Concise History of the Skull and Bones Society
The history of the Skull and Bones society may appear straightforward, but like many secret organizations, unraveling the intricacies of its stories and legends proves to be a daunting task. To comprehend this enigmatic group, it is essential to begin with a brief overview, acknowledging the commonly accepted narrative before delving deeper into the complexities. Theories surrounding the society’s history are as old as the group itself, creating a labyrinth of information that researchers must navigate carefully. The society, deliberately shrouded in mystery, sees no necessity in clarifying its historical details. For them, a cryptic and confusing history, muddled with untruths, only enhances the group’s aura, diverting attention from the more accurate aspects of our knowledge. By maintaining this deliberate ambiguity, Skull and Bones becomes an even more elusive concept.
For insights into the accepted truth about the group’s history, one can refer to a Time magazine article from 2009. According to this source, Skull and Bones and its members have been implicated in everything from the Kennedy assassination to the creation of the atomic bomb. Depicted both positively and negatively across various media platforms, the society has even been satirized on popular shows like The Simpsons. Its involvement in numerous high-profile court cases and crimes has thrust the group into unexpected levels of attention, fueling a surge in public interest. In response, individuals have attempted to gather as much information as possible about the secretive organization.
One notable illustration of the society’s influence can be seen in the 2004 presidential election in the United States. The race was contested between George W. Bush, a Republican, and John Kerry, a Democrat, both graduates of Yale and members of the Skull and Bones society. Fate dictated that regardless of the outcome, America would be governed by a Bonesman, as the group’s members are called. Later in this book, we will delve into this event with more depth, shedding light on its significance.
William Russell and the Origins of Skull and Bones
The origins of Skull and Bones, as the tales recount, trace back to a man named William Russell. Russell, a Yale student from the class of 1833, spent a year in Germany during his academic journey. There, he became immersed in the clandestine and mystical organizations prevalent in 19th-century European high society. These secretive clubs, frequented by the elite and aristocracy, often emulated legendary groups like the Illuminati and the Priory of Sion. Captivated by this mystique, Russell absorbed the knowledge from these enigmatic Germans and transported it back to the academic milieu of Yale University, one of America’s oldest educational institutions.
The genesis of Skull and Bones occurred following a dispute among several debating societies at Yale, including Brothers in Unity, the Calliopean Society, and Linonia. The argument revolved around the Phi Beta Kappa ceremony for award presentations. Russell, in collaboration with a man named Alphonso Taft, believed that American institutions should emulate the
