Cassie Moneypenny is a human-interest reporter for the Flat Wood Gazette in West Virginia. The Flat Wood Gazette is and has been the only newspaper in the county. The Gazette employs a total of five people and is published on a weekly basis. Flat Wood has a population of about ten thousand and was at one time home of the Silver Lining Mine. Cassie gets her tips from the local citizens. Usually, a phone call recommending that she interview a friend or relative of the caller.
