This is to be said of this profound and prolific writer. While we served the fine people in Surry, Virginia, Terryn's talent and gift of putting pen to paper was astonishing. She has always been able to express what others are feeling.

    Introduction

Hello again, my fellow faith walker; it's your neighborhood, modern-day Faitherella. It has been such a crazy experience living through a pandemic, and I am grateful that you, as a reader, are still here with me. I know it has been a while since we spoke, so let me reintroduce myself to the folks who may not have read my first book. First of all, I go by the name Faitherella, which, of course, is not my real name, but I will tell you that there is a purpose behind this name. You see, I used to be bullied by two very strong personality flaws, if you will. And just like in the storybook version of Cinderella , these two personality flaws were like two ugly stepsiblings. But instead of their names being Drizella and Anastasia , mine were Vanity and Pride. And yes, they were mean and ugly!

Now, I know you must be thinking, I have read this before. But you see, my Faitherella story continues. I can admit that I have overcome these two personality flaws, yes, but just like there are many versions of fairy tales, I still have many devils on the shoulder that plague me when I least expect it. Every story I grew up reading had a villain and a hero. Yet in most of the biblical stories, there is not a clear bad or good guy. The absolute truth about God is that each one of us can play either part while God is still loving us. The worst part about this is that I cannot close the book at the end of the story because growth happens when moving from one event to the next. It's looking back and staying there that tends to hang us all up.

To describe the journey from not seeing what is possible to living the impossible is not something I could easily describe in two sentences. The fact that my understanding of how Adam and Eve's story so reflects our own has been such an aha moment that only God could have opened my eyes and heart to see. We have all been facing some bad personality flaws that drive us like no other family member could, and what I have discovered is that we must stay true to ourselves while in the process of understanding where these inner demons come from. We must get to the heart of the matter to figure out where these monsters within us choose to reside in our spirit. We must find the source of their power over us.

This Faitherella journey began once I discovered that there was a tale that needed to be told. My voice is how my victory over my two evil stepsisters began to take effect. Sometimes I feel like it was all a dream and a made-up story, just like a fairy tale. The spirit that dwells within me gained control to fight against what I thought was impossible, and now is the time to slay it. I mean the divine time to slay these dragons and Goliaths that often try to take over what we strive so hard to achieve, which ultimately is the fulfillment of a prophecy that was made by our Creator.

There were all types of so-called mythical creatures that our ancestors in the Bible came into close contact with. In my previous book, I told of the story of Adam and Eve and how their downfall started the domino effect of our human insistence on disobeying. We know that Eve had a seemingly innocent conversation with a serpent (I say that is already suspicious), and this silver-tongued serpent had enough power to make her doubt what our Creator forbade them to do. This then led to an action that changed the whole trajectory of humankind, as it was created from the beginning.

A serpent is also known as an evil reptile or can be considered a fire-breathing dragon in most fairy tales. Most of us could argue that the Bible is full of stories that are just like fairy tales. There were serpents that talked, giants who roamed the earth freely while scaring people to do their will, angels (sons of God) that spoke and walked amongst us, and heroes of old, men of renown (Genesis 6:4) that could be compared to fairy tales such as Hercules or Percy Jackson. These stories I grew up listening to were based on old tales that had been passed down from generation to generation, yet each one holds some truth and symbolism in what we see in our lives today.

If you have taken the time to read your Bible, you will find some impressions of fairy tales. Would you say that was
